What personal data we collect and use

General

GetYourGroove.Info may collect and use data which visitors enter on the site through contact forms, optin forms, and other means. The data shown in the form is collected, as is the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. You do not need to provide any personal information just to visit or view the website.

Comments

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you enter your information into a contact form or otherwise subscribe to our mailing list, you are giving me permission to contact you for any reason including but not limited to marketing and sales purposes. In the event that you are added to a mailing list, I will only seek to send you quality content, but it will always be easy for you to unsubscribe.

This website uses the conversion tools provided by ConvertBox including but not limited to popups and email captures. GetYourGroove.Info will always strive to respect and protect your information, however if you use or opt in to any of the ConvertBox elements you will be subject to their terms of service and privacy policy as well.

Conversiobot Integration

This website uses automated chatbot software provided by Conversiobot. If you choose to interact with the chatbot, your conversation will be logged responsibly by Conversiobot. Any contact information entered such as email addresses will be recorded by Conversiobot but may also be passed on to other integrations such as the email marketing platforms mentioned below.

Information Collected from Other Sources

We may also collect your name, email, discord name, and other information from other sources such as ConvertKit, ConvertBox, GetResponse, Campaign Monitor, ActiveCampaign, ConversioBot, and others.

Who we share your data with

We will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties (beyond what is necessary for security, maintenance, and marketing purposes.)

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you subscribe to a mailing list, your information will be retained until you unsubscribe or otherwise ask for it to be deleted.
